PM Shehbaz Sharif Meets Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Reaffirms Bilateral Ties

Riyadh: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman during his official visit to Saudi Arabia, reaffirming the deep, strategic, and brotherly ties between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Sharif extended Eid greetings to King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and commended Saudi Arabia’s exceptional hospitality and services for pilgrims from around the world.

The Prime Minister also lauded Saudi Arabia’s proactive role amid recent tensions between Pakistan and India, highlighting the Kingdom’s firm commitment to peace and stability in the region and beyond. Emphasizing Pakistan’s policy of restraint, Sharif reiterated that lasting peace in South Asia can only be achieved through meaningful dialogue.

Prime Minister Sharif expressed gratitude for the efforts of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince in ensuring a safe and spiritually fulfilling Hajj experience.

The two leaders also held an in-depth discussion on the grave humanitarian situation in Gaza.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended a formal invitation to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to visit Pakistan, which the Crown Prince graciously accepted.

As part of the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif performed Umrah accompanied by a high-level delegation. In a rare gesture of honor, the doors of the Holy Kaaba were specially opened for the Pakistani delegation. According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the visit was made on the special invitation of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

State broadcaster PTV reported that the Prime Minister, along with Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, offered special prayers inside the Kaaba and expressed gratitude for the success of Operation Bunyad-e-Marsous.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, and Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar.
