These plans are part of the Integrated DevelopmentManagement Plan (IDMP) for the defense sector,which was launched under the leadership of CrownPrince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman,who chairs the region's defence committee.
"The birth of the 15th eland is an important step in our conservation efforts and contribution to conservation in the region," said Andrew Zaloumis,the reserve's chief executive, according to a press release , noting that these cultures have created a sustainable wildlife.
The Arabian Oryx, extinct in the wild on the ArabianPeninsula, was declared extinct in the 1970s due to hunting and habitat loss. As a result of ongoing conservation efforts and reintroduction efforts, the species is now classified as "vulnerable" on theIUCN Red List, reflecting its remarkable recovery.
The reserve’s infrastructure services continue to support indigenous recovery, build ecological resilience , and restore connectivity across the region,demonstrations commitments beyond Vision 2030 and the Saudi Green Initiative.
