Islamabad: On Thursday, a protest was held outside the Indian High Commission located in Islamabad’s Diplomatic Enclave. The demonstration included participants from a religious-political party, who were seen carrying flags representing Pakistan-administered Kashmir.
The protesters chanted slogans against Indian actions following the Pahalgam attack and voiced strong opposition to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Security was placed on high alert during the protest, with senior police officials present throughout the Diplomatic Enclave, a high-security Red Zone area where entry is typically restricted without prior authorization. Despite this, the demonstrators managed to enter the enclave and carry out their protest.
Local media referred to the protestors as members of civil society, while reports from the Special Branch identified them as ordinary citizens demonstrating outside the Indian High Commission.
