PTI Leader Salman Akram Raja Denies Knowledge of Any Deal with Establishment

Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Salman Akram Raja has denied any knowledge of a deal between the party and the establishment.

Speaking to journalists outside the Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore, Raja said that the claims of a deal are being made solely by PTI leader Azam Swati and that nothing can be confirmed until a meeting is held with PTI founder Imran Khan.

Raja stated, “The situation will only become clear after a meeting with Imran Khan. It seems deliberate that we are not being allowed to meet him in order to keep the ambiguity intact. Only after the meeting will we know whether he has authorized anyone for negotiations or not.”

It is noteworthy that in recent days, Azam Khan Swati claimed that Imran Khan is still willing to come to the negotiating table, provided the establishment is ready. Swati further claimed that the PTI founder has given his blessing for such talks.

Following a recent meeting with Imran Khan in Adiala Jail, Swati released a lengthy video message. Without naming individuals, he criticized some vloggers and anchors for spreading false news.

In the context of growing divisions within PTI ranks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Swati expressed support for Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, KP leader Junaid Akbar, and the party’s General Secretary Salman Akram Raja, stating that all three were personally chosen by Imran Khan.
