JEDDAH: The U.S. Consulate General in Jeddah announces the appointment of Mr. Rafiq Mansour as the new Consul General. On April 6, 2025, he presented his credentials to Fareed bin Saad Al-Shahri, Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Makkah.
Mr. Mansour has also been appointed as the U.S. representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
Mr. Mansour is dedicated to strengthening the U.S.-Saudi partnership and supporting the region's development, especially in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.
As Consul General, he is eager to explore Saudi Arabia's cultural heritage and foster cooperation in tourism, business, and cultural exchange.
He aims to enhance the U.S.-Saudi relations in trade, investment, and cultural collaboration, particularly in Jeddah and the western region.
With a distinguished 26-year career in the U.S. Foreign Service, Mr. Mansour has served in countries like Singapore, Armenia, Russia, France, Italy, Iraq, Libya, Algeria, and Haiti.
He has earned three prestigious awards and numerous merit awards from the U.S. Department of State. Mr. Mansour is fluent in Arabic, French, Italian, Russian, and Creole.
