JEDDAH: The Red Sea Fund, an initiative by the Red Sea Film Foundation, has opened applications for the second cycle of its 2025 production grants. Submissions are now being accepted until April 21, 2025, from filmmakers across Saudi Arabia, the Arab world, Africa, and Asia.
The grants support feature films (60+ minutes), TV series (25–59 minutes per episode), and short films (under 60 minutes).
While feature and TV projects are open to eligible directors across the listed regions, short film grants are exclusive to Saudi directors and may include fiction, animation, or documentary.
Launched in 2021, the Red Sea Fund has backed over 280 projects, many of which have received international acclaim.
The initiative reflects the Foundation’s ongoing mission to empower diverse cinematic voices and bring bold new stories to global audiences.
