Seoul: A Russian military aircraft entered South Korea’s air defense identification zone (KADIZ) on Thursday without prior notification, the South Korean defense ministry reported.
According to the ministry, Russian warplanes have breached the KADIZ eight times between March 11 and March 20. Moscow, however, does not officially recognize the zone.
In response to the latest incident, South Korea’s defense ministry has formally protested to Russia by lodging a complaint with Moscow’s military attaché.
