Riyadh: In Riyadh, following the signing of key agreements, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and U.S. President Donald Trump addressed the press, emphasizing their commitment to further enhancing bilateral relations.

The two leaders discussed a series of significant agreements, with the most notable being a $600 billion deal, which Prince Mohammed stated could potentially rise to $1 trillion in the coming months.

During his speech, Crown Prince Mohammed outlined the key aspects of the agreement, which include military and technological cooperation, and highlighted the potential for increased job opportunities in Saudi Arabia as a result of the deals. He reiterated that the U.S. and Saudi Arabia share strong economic ties, emphasizing that the partnership would only grow stronger in the future.

Prince Mohammed described the deep economic relationship between the two nations as a cornerstone of their mutual collaboration, with joint investments playing a key role.

On the other hand, President Trump spoke about two major historical trade agreements that his administration had secured. First, he mentioned the tariff deal with the United Kingdom and then highlighted a significant agreement with China, which he claimed had agreed to collaborate with the U.S. on trade and other sectors. Trump’s team was set to share more details of these agreements.

Trump also took the opportunity to commend the growth of the U.S. economy since his administration took office, stating that the country was witnessing an influx of wealth and prosperity. The U.S. President emphasized that the strengthening of U.S.-Saudi relations was a priority, ensuring that these ties would remain strong, close, and robust. Trump reiterated that the U.S. would never be swayed to take sides between conflicting parties, though he did not clarify who he was referencing.

Trump also fondly recalled his visit to Saudi Arabia eight years ago, praising the hospitality he received and expressing his continued admiration for the country and its people. He referred to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman as a "great man" and described Saudi Arabia as a wonderful place with remarkable people. The president concluded by noting that the ongoing relationship between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia reflects 80 years of cooperation, marked by security and prosperity.
