Riyadh: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned the recent attacks on displacement camps near El Fasher, particularly the Zamzam and Abu Shouk camps in western Sudan, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday.
The ministry reported that the assaults led to numerous casualties and injuries, constituting a clear violation of international and humanitarian law.
Saudi Arabia reiterated its firm rejection of such acts and underscored the urgent need to protect humanitarian and relief personnel.
The Kingdom also highlighted the importance of upholding the Jeddah Declaration, which seeks to safeguard civilians in Sudan.
The statement concluded by offering heartfelt condolences to the victims' families and wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
