Riyadh: Saudi Arabia's Transport General Authority (TGA) has announced a new regulation imposing a minimum fine of SR5,000 on parcel delivery companies that fail to deliver shipments as agreed.
The decision aims to enhance the efficiency and reliability of postal services in the Kingdom. The TGA stated that any violation of the regulations will result in a penalty of no less than SR5,000, as outlined in the bylaw.
This move is part of Saudi Arabia's ongoing efforts to improve consumer protection and ensure compliance with service standards in the logistics sector. By enforcing stricter penalties, the TGA aims to hold delivery companies accountable and guarantee timely and reliable delivery services.
The regulation supports the goals of Vision 2030, which focuses on enhancing service quality and fostering a competitive business environment. The improved postal services are expected to benefit all residents, including expatriates who heavily rely on efficient delivery systems.
