BOSTON: Vice Minister of Health for Planning and Development Abdulaziz Al-Rumaih launched the Ministry of Health’s “Biotech Accelerator” program for biotechnology startups on Friday at the 2025 BIO International Convention in Boston, in partnership with BioLabs.
The seven-month program will provide training, support services, and access to research laboratories for participating startups. It aligns with the goals of the Health Sector Transformation Program and the National Biotechnology Strategy key components of Saudi Vision 2030 aimed at strengthening the Kingdom’s position in global health innovation.
The initiative is designed to promote innovation, foster international partnerships, and support Saudi biotech startups in enhancing healthcare service quality. It marks the first biotechnology accelerator of its kind in the Kingdom and BioLabs’ first collaboration in the Middle East.
