JEDDAH: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman met with Jordan’s King Abdullah II on Wednesday during the monarch’s official visit to the Kingdom, according to the report.
Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, the Deputy Governor of Makkah, welcomed King Abdullah and Crown Prince Hussein to Jeddah.
During the meeting, King Abdullah expressed pride in the strong historical ties between Saudi Arabia and Jordan, and praised the Kingdom’s continued support for Arab and Islamic causes, according to the Petra news agency.
The two leaders also discussed regional developments, with a focus on the situation in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank.
The meeting was attended by Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman, Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Jordanian Crown Prince Hussein, and Alaa Batayneh, Director of the Jordanian King’s Office.
