RIYADH: Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman met with Yemen’s newly appointed Prime Minister, Salem Saleh Bin Braik, in Riyadh to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and reviewing regional developments, including the situation in Yemen.
“I reaffirmed the Kingdom’s continued support for the government of Yemen in ways that will meet the aspirations of the Yemeni people,” Prince Khalid said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
He also extended the Saudi leadership’s congratulations to Bin Braik on his new role, expressing hopes for his success and for Yemen’s stability, security, and prosperity.
Bin Braik, who previously served as Yemen’s finance minister, was appointed prime minister by the internationally recognized government on Saturday.
