Saudi Islamic Affairs Ministry Hosts Iftar Banquets in 61 Countries

RIYADH: The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call, and Guidance has organized daily iftar banquets benefiting thousands across 61 countries during the first half of Ramadan.

In Sudan, the initiative has provided meals to 15,000 people across various cities and regions, with the number expected to reach 30,000 by the end of Ramadan in late March.

The banquets are part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Iftar Program, which promotes unity, compassion, and solidarity among Muslim communities worldwide.

In Tanzania, 2,000 people have benefited so far, with the figure expected to rise to 4,500 next week, according to the report.

The ministry also extended the initiative to South America, where over 7,500 people in mosques and centers across Argentina have received iftar meals.

Additionally, in the Philippines, the Saudi Embassy’s religious attaché hosted an iftar in Manila, attended by leaders of Islamic associations in the country.
