Celebrated on April 12, the day commemorates milestones in space history, including the launch of Sputnik 1 in 1957 and Yuri Gagarin’s first manned spaceflight in 1961.
The Saudi Space Agency plays a key role in supporting Vision 2030 by positioning the Kingdom as a global space hub.
Its efforts focus on fostering innovation, building capabilities, and driving scientific and economic growth.
Key priorities include expanding global partnerships, promoting R&D, encouraging space investments, and representing Saudi Arabia in international space forums.
The agency aims to inspire future generations while advancing peaceful space exploration, seeking to establish the Kingdom as a regional and global leader in space science and technology.
