Saudi Royal Air Force Concludes Desert Flag 2025 Drill in UAE

ABU DHABI: The Royal Saudi Air Force on Saturday concluded its participation in the Desert Flag 2025 exercise at Al Dhafra Air Base, completing a series of joint maneuvers with allied and partner nations.

The drill aimed to boost combat readiness, sharpen operational and technical skills, and strengthen interoperability through realistic, multinational combat scenarios.

Lt. Col. Pilot Faisal Al-Marwani, commander of the Saudi contingent, said all training goals were met, including improving the efficiency of air, technical, and support crews, refining joint-operations procedures, and testing combat capabilities under multi-domain pressure.

Saudi crews conducted offensive and defensive air sorties, close-air support, combat search-and-rescue, and night aerial refueling.

Strict safety protocols were observed throughout aircraft preparation, maintenance, and flight operations, Al-Marwani added.

The force is now completing technical and administrative formalities before returning to the Kingdom.

Desert Flag is one of the region’s leading air exercises, designed to enhance multinational planning and execution while fostering cooperation among partner air forces.
