RIYADH: The National Observatory for Women at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University hosted the third edition of the Saudi Women in Development Conference under the theme “Ambitious Steps for a Promising Future.”
Held at the university’s Conference and Convention Center and under the patronage of Human Resources and Social Development Minister Ahmed Al-Rajhi, the event focused on advancing women’s roles in building a prosperous future aligned with Vision 2030.
The conference brought together representatives from government agencies, civil society organizations, and the private sector to highlight key indicators of women’s empowerment and explore national initiatives supporting women across various fields.
Key objectives included promoting the exchange of expertise, showcasing successful empowerment strategies, and identifying innovative ways to boost women’s participation in leadership and decision-making processes.
The program featured five panel discussions centered on women’s roles in achieving sustainable development goals.
An accompanying exhibition showcased over 25 organizations involved in women’s empowerment, presenting services, products, and initiatives that promote women's active participation in economic, social, and health development.
