RIYADH: Saudi Arabia is set to host a vibrant cultural festival spotlighting the heritage of Sudan, India, the Philippines, and Bangladesh in Alkhobar and Jeddah.
Titled “Your Passport to the World”, the month-long event is organized by the General Entertainment Authority to honor the cultural contributions of expatriate communities across the Kingdom, according to the report.
Launched in Alkhobar, the festival will feature each nation’s culture for four days throughout April.
Sudan will lead from April 10–13, followed by India (April 16–19), the Philippines (April 23–26), and Bangladesh (April 30–May 3). The celebration will then continue in Jeddah.
Each cultural pavilion will offer an immersive experience, showcasing folkloric traditions, textiles, architectural elements, and authentic cuisine.
Visitors can enjoy dance performances, traditional crafts, open-air markets, theater shows, and hands-on workshops.
Specialized zones will also highlight heritage clothing, interactive installations, and culinary tastings, creating a festive family-friendly atmosphere.
The initiative supports Saudi Vision 2030 by promoting cultural appreciation, enhancing entertainment offerings, and improving residents’ quality of life.
The event is expected to attract large crowds, reflecting the Kingdom’s commitment to embracing diversity and enriching its cultural landscape.
