Second Round of Talks Between Government and PTI Scheduled for Today

Islamabad: The second round of negotiations between the government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is set to take place today. During this session, PTI representatives are expected to present their demands to the government, which will then formulate its response accordingly.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while addressing the inauguration ceremony of "Udaan Pakistan," expressed his desire for all political parties in the country, including PTI, to collectively adhere to a renewed Charter of Democracy.

Meanwhile, federal ministers have suggested that if PTI Chairman Imran Khan agrees to abandon protest demonstrations and acknowledges the government’s mandate, the proposal to release him from prison and place him under house arrest could be considered.

On the other hand, Imran Khan's sister, Aleema Khan, has firmly rejected any potential deal, stating that they will not accept the house arrest proposal. She emphasized that Imran Khan, who has already spent over two years in prison, is ready to face the cases against him.
