Antipolo City: Authorities are investigating a grisly killing in Barangay Cupang where seven individuals were discovered dead inside a workplace early Tuesday morning. The incident, which police are treating as a "massacre," occurred around 6 a.m. in Purok 1, Zone 8.
According to the initial investigation, the victims were likely asleep when unknown attackers entered the bakery and fatally stabbed them. All seven sustained multiple stab wounds, and investigators found no immediate signs of resistance, raising the possibility that the assailants ambushed them.
The number of attackers remains uncertain, and police have yet to determine whether there was any forced entry or if items were taken from the scene. Forensic teams have sealed off the location, and a technical review is ongoing.
Authorities are analyzing CCTV footage from nearby areas and speaking with residents and business owners in hopes of identifying suspects. As of Tuesday afternoon, no leads have led to arrests.
"We are pursuing all angles," Antipolo police said in a statement, adding that the motive remains unknown at this stage of the investigation.
