Sharjah: Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi has launched the "For Gaza" campaign to support over 20,000 orphaned children in Gaza.
According to the announcement made on February 28, 2025, in Sharjah, the initiative is led by The Big Heart Foundation (TBHF) in partnership with Palestine’s Tawoon Foundation, aims to collect zakat and donations during Ramadan to provide education, healthcare, food, and shelter.
Donors can contribute any amount or choose sponsorship packages, with options ranging from one month to ten years. The campaign also includes the "Kiswat Eid" initiative, allowing donors to sponsor Eid clothing. Donations can be made via bank transfers, cheques, cash, SMS, and online via TBHF’s website.
Sponsorship Packages:
- $167 (AED 625): Supports one orphan for a month
- $2,000 (AED 7,500): supports for a year
- $10,000 (AED 37,500): Five-year support
- $20,000 (AED 75,000): Ten-year support
With 45,000 orphans in Gaza, the campaign responds to an urgent humanitarian crisis. The Tawoon Foundation’s Noor Gaza Orphan Care Program, in collaboration with the Bank of Palestine, has already raised $7.1 million to aid over 11,000 orphans. The goal is to secure $377 million for long-term support.
