Riyadh:The Sports Boulevard Foundation has confirmed its participation in MIPIM 2025, the premier global real estate investment event, set to take place from March 11 to 14 in Cannes, France. As part of the 'Invest Saudi' delegation, the foundation will showcase investment opportunities and urban development strategies, positioning Riyadh as a leading destination for sports, wellness, and sustainable living.
Sports Boulevard, one of Riyadh’s flagship mega-projects, is poised to become the world’s largest urban regeneration linear park, spanning over 135 km across the capital. The project integrates state-of-the-art sports infrastructure, public spaces, and sustainable mobility solutions, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030’s objectives to enhance quality of life and economic diversification. The first phase, inaugurated in February 2025, features five key destinations along an 83 km stretch, marking a major milestone in the project’s development.
By December 2024, Sports Boulevard had secured substantial investment, including a $1.47 billion (SAR5.5 billion) real estate investment fund, further driving private-sector engagement. At MIPIM, the foundation will connect with global investors, urban planners, and developers, presenting prime opportunities across residential, commercial, and sports sectors, with over four million square meters of gross floor area (GFA) allocated for private-sector participation.
Jayne McGivern, CEO of the Sports Boulevard Foundation, emphasized the project’s transformative impact:
"Sports Boulevard is more than just an urban development—it’s a vision for a healthier, more sustainable future. Riyadh is emerging as a global model for active living, where sports, wellness, and urban infrastructure come together to foster a thriving community. With world-class sports facilities, green mobility networks, and vibrant public spaces, this project offers unparalleled opportunities in real estate investment and sustainable urban planning."
The development boasts 4.4 million square meters of green spaces, 220 km of cycling pathways, and a 135 km pedestrian network. It also includes 15 km of dedicated horse-riding trails, over 50 multidisciplinary sports facilities, and tree-lined walking paths, encouraging outdoor activities and redefining Riyadh’s urban landscape.
Launched by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on March 19, 2019, and chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Sports Boulevard is unlocking major investment opportunities for local and international stakeholders across real estate, sports, and infrastructure sectors. The project aims to enhance livability in Riyadh through integrated infrastructure, pedestrian-friendly environments, and world-class sports facilities.
