SAN FRANCISCO: Stephen Curry became the 26th player in NBA history to reach 25,000 career points, achieving the feat in the third quarter of the Warriors’ 115-110 win over the Pistons on Saturday night.
Curry hit the milestone with a three-pointer at 8:32 in the third and was recognized with a warm ovation. He finished with 32 points, including 12-for-12 from the free-throw line, pushing his total to 25,017.
After the game, Curry paid tribute to teammate Draymond Green, who secured the game ball but plans to keep it. “He’s going to keep it for me,” Curry joked.
