Nushki: A suspected suicide bombing near a security forces convoy on the Pak-Iran Highway (N-40) has claimed the lives of five personnel, leaving more than 12 others injured. Several of the wounded are in critical condition, raising concerns that the death toll may rise, police officials stated.
Local police confirmed that the powerful explosion was heard far and wide. Following the attack, an emergency was declared at Nushki Civil Hospital to treat the injured.
Security forces swiftly cordoned off the area after the blast. Initial investigations suggest that it was a suicide attack, with evidence indicating that the assailant rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into the convoy.
The injured have been shifted to the Teaching Hospital in Nushki for urgent medical treatment, while security officials continue their investigation into the deadly incident.
