Kerala Congress is back in news because of comments by leader Shashi Tharoor that upset many. Tharoor, who used to be a Union Minister and has been MP lots of times from Thiruvananthapuram, liked some policies of the Communist Party (CPM) in the state and called attention to progress. This comes after he also praised Prime Minister Modi, which made people within his own party unhappy. Thus, now they are planning a meeting to solve issues inside and focus on being together as elections come up soon. The problem started after an interview where he spoke with a newspaper. The Kerala Congress is trying to fix this mess with a key meeting scheduled Friday. They will talk mostly about upcoming elections later this year but expect discussions about Tharoor's situation too. Sources say they want to avoid open fights or disputes that may hurt how people view the party before voting time.
So damage control moves happen in Kerala as Congress handles what was caused by Tharoor's words. This meeting will occur within the state; top leaders should gather to come up with plans leading into elections. Tharoor remains prominent among Congress leaders and involved in local politics controversy-wise. His remarks have upset many in his party while several senior members openly critiqued him. Now, those at high levels look for ways to mend things without making matters worse further on at election time too crowded already.
The issue inside Kerala Congress came alive when Tharoor said positive stuff about CPM’s impact on growth — something peered bad given it contrasts with their usual political views as well seen even more so since them competing heavily against both CPM and BJP lately . Since confronting him directly likely would worsen rifts ,they choose instead simply keeping quiet hoping internal problems won’t blow out bigger ahead due date pressing stance focusing strength aimed towards constraints established via clear united vision counteracting groups like CPM & BJP accordingly
