Tragic Truck Accident in Sindh Claims 14 Lives, Including Women and Children

Jamshoro: A devastating road accident in the Bula Khan area of Sindh’s Jamshoro district has claimed the lives of at least 14 people, including women and children, after a passenger-laden truck overturned.

According to local authorities, over 40 individuals were on board the truck at the time of the incident. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jamshoro, Zafar Siddiq, informed the BBC that all the deceased belonged to the Hindu Kohli community. They had been returning from Dariji, a locality in the Hub district of Balochistan, where they had gone for the wheat harvest.

The tragic accident occurred in the Tong area under the jurisdiction of Bula Khan police station. Preliminary reports suggest that the truck's brakes failed, leading to the vehicle overturning.

Following the accident, the bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital Hyderabad for legal formalities before being handed over to the families.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the exact cause of the accident, while expressions of grief and condolences pour in from across the region.
