Dubai: Emirates Telecommunications Group Company (e&) has successfully completed the acquisition of a 100% stake in Serbia Broadband (SBB), a leading cable TV and broadband internet provider in Serbia.
The $891 million deal, financed through debt, was finalized by e& PPF Telecom, a subsidiary of the UAE telecom giant.
This acquisition is part of e&'s strategy to expand its presence in Central Eastern Europe and diversify its revenue streams. The deal allows e& to integrate SBB with its Serbian mobile subsidiary, Yettel, enhancing its regional telecom offerings.
