. UNRWA Warning: Gaza hospitals have become “death traps,” according to the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees.
• Dire Conditions: Families are being torn apart, children are dying from cold, and hunger is claiming lives, the agency shared in a post on X.
•Call for Action: UNRWA has urgently called for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip to address the humanitarian crisis.
Humanitarian Workers Face Unimaginable Risks in Gaza
The UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) has sounded the alarm over the growing dangers faced by humanitarian workers in Gaza. Convoys carrying critical aid have come under attack, severely hindering efforts to deliver life-saving supplies to those in need.
A Dangerous Mission for Aid Delivery
In a statement, UNRWA emphasised how these attacks have made aid delivery “dangerous and difficult.” With violence escalating, the already fragile humanitarian system is struggling to keep up with the urgent needs of the population.
“No One Is Safe in Gaza”
Juliette Touma, UNRWA’s Director of Communications, painted a grim picture of the situation. “Gaza has become the most dangerous place to be a humanitarian worker. No one is safe in Gaza, no place is safe,” she said.
A Plea for Action
As the humanitarian crisis deepens, UNRWA’s plea is clear: protection for both the people of Gaza and the courageous aid workers risking their lives to bring hope amid the chaos.
