US Airstrikes Kill Over 30 in Yemen Amid Rising Tensions

Yemen: The United States launched airstrikes on Yemen, killing at least 31 people, most of them women and children.

The attack launched on March 16, 2025, in response to threats from Yemen’s Houthi rebels, who had warned they would resume attacks on Israel-linked ships in the Red Sea. The strikes targeted locations in Yemen, escalating tensions in the region.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces continued their assault on Gaza despite a declared ceasefire, killing 12 people, including relief workers and a child in northern Beit Lahiya.

Reports from Gaza’s Health Ministry indicate that at least 48,543 Palestinians have been confirmed dead, with over 111,981 wounded. The Government Media Office in Gaza has updated the total death toll to more than 61,700, including those still buried under the rubble.

The war in Gaza has been ongoing since October 7, 2023, when Hamas launched an attack on Israel, killing 1,139 people and taking more than 200 hostages. The humanitarian crisis continues to worsen as the total blockade of Gaza enters its third week, prompting further regional escalations.
