Warangal: The tourism potential thread brightened on Saturday as major officials undertook the visit to plan for the lovely historical fort Warangal becoming a significant tourist destination. Enagala Venkatram Reddy-Chairman of Kakatiya Urban Development Authority (KUDA), dist. collector Satya Sharada Devi, and Municipal Commissioner Ashwini Tanaji Wakade inspected the Fortsite and Mogilicherla village, looking at possibilities for enhancing the cultural heritage environment.
Reddy declared several plans to upgrade key sites inside the fort complex including Shringara Bhavi, the surroundings of Khush Mahal, bund around Gunducheru Lake, Ekashila Park, and several other spoiled Kakatiyan heritage temples and cottages. All these are going to contribute to boosting further the tourist experience and highlighting the rich history and cultural significance of Warangal.
The officials also focused on speeding up the pending development works to make Warangal Fort an exciting visit. That restoration and augmenting all these sites may help the place to achieve UNESCO World Heritage status, said Reddy while emphasizing his remarks in light of just Ramappa Temple getting such recognition.
It is now an initiative that is giving increasing importance to historical preservation and the promotion of Telangana's heritage as prominent cultural and tourist treasures. The emerging tourist hub at Warangal Fort would result in making the local economy more robust and commercial as well as open it for many local and international tourists along with the preservation of the heritage for posterity
