Mumbai: Akshay Kumar has broken his silence on the ongoing fallout with veteran actor Paresh Rawal, who recently confirmed his exit from the much-anticipated Hera Pheri 3. Akshay addressed the situation with optimism, saying, “Keeping my fingers crossed. I hope everything goes well.” His comments after Rawal’s departure stunned fans and co-stars alike, including Suniel Shetty.
While Rawal denied creative differences with director Priyadarshan, he stated the role no longer appealed to him. Despite the amicable tone, Akshay’s production banner reportedly served Rawal a legal notice seeking ₹25 crore in damages, citing financial losses related to production.
In response, Rawal’s lawyer, Ameet Naik, issued a formal rebuttal defending the actor’s exit. Fans have taken to social media to plead with Rawal to reconsider, insisting Hera Pheri 3 won’t be the same without his beloved character, Baburao.
For now, the future of the iconic comedy franchise hangs in the balance, though Akshay remains hopeful that the trio will reunite again.
