Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched the Rail Bus, an innovative, eco-friendly transportation system with an operational speed of 100 km/h and a capacity of 40 passengers.
The Rail Bus will run on a bridge equipped with solar panels, generating electricity to power the system. This initiative aligns with Dubai’s vision for sustainable and efficient urban transport.
The project follows an MoU signed last year between RTA and U.S.-based Rail Bus Inc, as well as UK’s Urban-Mass Company, to explore cutting-edge mobility solutions, including the Floc Duo Rail, a driverless system designed for urban efficiency.
RTA emphasizes that this revolutionary transport mode will offer a cost-effective, energy-efficient alternative to existing systems while reinforcing Dubai’s commitment to sustainability and smart urban development.
