Riyadh: Saudi Arabia’s rising MMA star Hattan Alsaif is set to return to the cage on July 4 at PFL MENA 2 in her hometown of Riyadh. Alsaif, the first Saudi woman signed to a major MMA promotion, is chasing her fourth consecutive amateur win.
She will face Lebanon’s undefeated champion, Nour Al-Fliti, in a highly anticipated atomweight showcase. With a background in combat sports, Alsaif made headlines last year by joining the Professional Fighters League (PFL), marking a significant milestone for female athletes in the region. Since then, she has silenced critics with consistent victories and a strong mindset.
“I do what I love regardless of social expectations,” she said. Despite an eight-month break since her last bout, Alsaif says she’s fully prepared. Her opponent, Al-Fliti, brings an impressive résumé, including multiple Lebanese titles and a silver at the IMMAF Asian Championships. Still, Alsaif remains confident.
“I’m ready for any opponent,” she said. “Every fight is a mental and physical challenge.” More than just a fight, her presence in the cage represents a cultural shift and inspires aspiring female fighters across the Middle East.
