DUSHANBE: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) delivered 161 tons of dates to the United Nations World Food Program (WFP) in the Republic of Tajikistan.
The donation is intended for distribution among public-school students as part of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing food aid initiatives to support underprivileged communities in brotherly and friendly countries.
Over the past two months, KSrelief has launched a volunteer medical project in Tajikistan, where a team of 21 Saudi medical professionals performed open-heart surgeries and catheterizations for adults in Dushanbe between April 26 and May 3, examining 105 patients and conducting 31 catheterizations and three heart surgeries
This effort reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to humanitarian assistance and its partnership with international organizations to combat food insecurity around the world.
