Gaza: Israeli forces have intensified military restrictions across the Jordan Valley region and Qalqilya province in the occupied West Bank, according to reports from Wafa news agency. These new measures have added further pressure to Palestinian daily life in these areas.
In the Jordan Valley, Israeli soldiers tightened controls at the Hamra checkpoint, leading to significant traffic congestion. The long lines of vehicles caused major delays for civilians trying to move through the area.
Meanwhile, in Qalqilya, temporary military checkpoints were set up at critical points, including the southern entrance near Hableh town and the eastern entrance to the city. These checkpoints have made it more difficult for residents to enter or leave the city.
Eyewitnesses told Wafa that Israeli soldiers were stopping vehicles, checking passengers' identification cards, and detaining cars for long periods. This has increased tensions and further restricted freedom of movement for Palestinians.
This latest development comes against the backdrop of growing tensions and military activities across the occupied West Bank. Israeli forces have continued expanding security measures in various areas, claiming to target security threats, while Palestinians and human rights groups see them as collective punishment severely impacting civilian life.
