King Khalid University Achieves High Rankings in 2024 Shanghai Global Ranking

King Khalid University has achieved notable recognition in the 2024 Shanghai Global Ranking of Academic Subjects, with three of its fields ranking among the top 200 universities worldwide. 

This accomplishment reflects the university's commitment to developing academic programs and promoting scientific research and innovation. Specifically, the university was ranked 101–150 globally in both mathematics and mining engineering, and 151–200 globally in energy science and engineering. These rankings highlight its leading role in delivering innovative scientific solutions to tackle energy challenges and promote sustainability.

Additionally, the university attained significant rankings in instrumentation science and technology, as well as in agricultural, veterinary, and oral sciences. 

King Khalid University also maintained its presence in the 201-300 range globally, particularly in disciplines such as mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, materials science and engineering, and pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences.

Dr. Hamid bin Majdoua Al-Qarni, the university's Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, stated that these results represent a transformational milestone in the university's pursuit of academic and research excellence. He emphasized the institution's commitment to fostering a robust research environment and supporting innovative projects that provide practical scientific solutions for both local and global communities.
