A team from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) met with important Syrian ministries in Damascus as part of a major humanitarian effort to discuss the provision of vital aid and continued support for the healthcare sector. 60 trucks carrying humanitarian aid arrived at the same time as this conference, which was a major event for the Syrian people in the face of persistent difficulties.
The recently appointed Syrian Health Minister, Dr. Maher Al-Sharaa, attended the meeting and thanked the Saudi government for its steadfast assistance. He recognized the critical role that KSrelief plays in easing Syrians' suffering. "We are grateful for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ongoing support, which has been crucial in meeting our medical needs," Al-Sharaa said during the talks.
The KSrelief team also met with Syria's Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Fadi Al-Qassem, in addition to Dr. Al-Sharaa. Al-Qassem highlighted KSrelief's efforts in a number of sectors and commended Saudi Arabia for its quick response to humanitarian needs.
A significant contribution to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Syria is represented by the arrival of 60 trucks through the Nasib Border Crossing.
