Middle East Energy 2025, Highlighting Global Energy Transformation

Dubai: Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum officially opened Middle East Energy 2025 on April 7, 2025, at the Dubai World Trade Centre in Dubai, UAE.

This three‐day event brings together over 1,600 energy suppliers from more than 90 countries who are exhibiting their latest innovations and new-to-market technologies across 16 halls.

The event is supported by the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure and is now in its 49th edition, underlining the region’s commitment to a sustainable and secure energy future.

The summit convenes more than 150 energy leaders and experts who are exploring how new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence are advancing affordable and sustainable energy solutions.

The event has also spotlighted the importance of collaboration, as shown by the opening of the Leadership Summit which emphasized the need to work together for a safer energy future.

These discussions take place at a time when global energy markets are rapidly evolving and leaders are seeking innovative ways to drive change.

During the opening tour, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum stressed that Middle East Energy 2025 plays a crucial role in supporting the clean energy transition and enhancing Dubai’s position as a global hub for energy innovation.

His remarks, shared through official statements, focused on the event's ability to bring together prominent experts and both local and international companies.

Key speakers at the Leadership Summit, including His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer and His Excellency Nani Juwara, added to the dialogue by outlining the UAE's ambitious plans to create one of the cleanest energy grids in the world by 2030 and addressing challenges like climate resilience, energy security, and aging infrastructure.

The fair also introduced the debut of The Battery Show, a dedicated three-day conference that showcased the power of government-industry partnerships in driving green mobility and sustainable energy storage.

Dr. Keramat Fakhari, Managing Director at HiTHIUM, provided insights into the rapid acceleration in energy storage technology and highlighted a new six-megawatt-hour product designed to address grid integration challenges in regions such as Africa and the Middle East.

His presentation emphasized that while technological innovation is essential, successful implementation depends on strong public-private partnerships.

Throughout the event, more than 40,000 global energy professionals, including over 500 key buyers, are expected to visit the Dubai World Trade Centre to explore solutions covering the full energy value chain—from power generation and storage to smart grid technologies.

Mark Ring, Group Director of Energy Events at Informa Markets, noted that Middle East Energy 2025 is a key platform for discussing how market dynamics, AI, and public-private partnerships will shape the future of the global energy market.

The event is a clear demonstration of how collaboration between government, industry, and technological innovators can drive the transformation toward a more secure and sustainable energy future.
