The popular American streaming platform Netflix faced significant outages during a boxing event, leaving fans frustrated.

According to foreign media reports, Netflix encountered streaming issues during the live event featuring Mike Tyson and Jake Paul on Friday, causing concern among users.

Prior to the match held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, users reported problems such as poor video quality, pixelation, streaming interruptions, and even app crashes.

In the U.S. alone, over 80,000 reports of Netflix outages were recorded, while the hashtag #NetflixCrash began trending on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

The website tracking downtime, Downdetector, noted a spike in reports of issues with Netflix's website around 8 PM local time, which reached 88,700 complaints by 9:30 PM.

Users on X shared GIFs and images related to the video issues during the boxing match, accompanied by sarcastic comments and heavy criticism of the streaming service.

Reports of streaming problems continued during the main boxing event that started after 11 PM, although these were fewer compared to the initial complaints. A Netflix spokesperson has not yet commented on the situation.
