Mumbai: Veteran actor Anupam Kher has unveiled a new poster for his upcoming directorial, Tanvi The Great, calling it “a canvas of stories.” The film, which stars Boman Irani, Pallavi Joshi, Jackie Shroff, Iain Glen, and debutante Shubhangi Dutt, will be released on July 18.
Recently screened at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, the story follows 21-year-old Tanvi Raina, a young woman with autism, on a mission to fulfill her late father’s dream—saluting the Indian flag at Siachen, the world’s highest battlefield.
After two decades, Kher returned to directing and said the story deeply inspired him. The emotional response at Cannes and London screenings was “gratifying.”
Pallavi Joshi described the Cannes moment as special, while Boman Irani emphasized the importance of Indian films reaching international platforms. Shubhangi, overwhelmed by the experience, called the journey life-changing. Tanvi The Great tells a bold, emotional story of defiance, purpose, and Indian pride.
