No Talks Between Government and TTP, Says Foreign Ministry

Islamabad: The Foreign Office spokesperson, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, clarified that there are no ongoing negotiations between the government and the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). During her weekly briefing, Baloch reiterated the government’s position that engaging in talks with TTP is opposed by the thousands of affected families and would be detrimental to national security. She also addressed the government's priorities and stated that while there are various paths to take, such as protests or long marches, the focus should remain on national progress and stability. Baloch also mentioned significant developments in Pakistan's foreign relations, including the signing of memorandums of understanding (MOUs) and agreements during Belarus's president's visit to Pakistan.
