On 27 November 2024, Singapore’s Minister for Health, Mr. Ong Ye Kung, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Health, His Excellency Fahad bin Abdurrahman Al-Jalajel, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen cooperation between their respective health ministries. His Excellency Al-Jalajel is currently in Singapore for a bilateral visit.
Key Areas of Cooperation
Under the terms of the MOU, Singapore and Saudi Arabia will focus on enhancing collaboration in several key areas of the health sector, including:
Education and Training
Primary Health Care
Healthcare Supply Chain
Healthcare Facilities Design
Prevention and Control of Communicable Diseases
Health Promotion Policies
Strengthening Ties
The signing of this MOU reaffirms the close working relationship between Singapore and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, highlighting their shared commitment to enhance existing cooperation and explore new areas for collaboration in the health sector.
