To fix problems in the agri-input area, a group from the National Pesticides met with Telangana’s Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao. This group included key people from big agricultural companies like Dr. R.G. Agarwal (Dhanuka Agritech Ltd.), Ramesh Kailasam (Corteva), B. Srinivas (Bayer), Dugesh Chandra (CropLife India), and Kalyan Goswami (ACFI). They aimed to improve industry rules and aid farmers.
A key worry in the talk was better laws needed to stop fake pesticides sales. The group said these fakes hurt the environment, risk farmers' health and harm output too. They asked for more teamwork between industry and government for this issue. The team also looked into ways to make agriculture better so that farmers get safe products of good quality which help in getting more crops.
Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao liked their ideas and showed he cares about these issues seriously. Also discussed were wider plans aiming at farmer welfare, wanting to raise farm production while ensuring growth is sustainable in Telangana’s farms. This meeting was an important step toward making stronger ties between the pesticide field and state government for better farming conditions for both farmers as well as consumers.
