London: British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has welcomed the ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah, highlighting its potential to bring relief to civilian populations in Lebanon and northern Israel. In a statement, Starmer expressed hope that the ceasefire would lead to a lasting political solution in Lebanon, particularly following the devastating consequences of the conflict over the past few months. A Step Towards Reconstruction and Peace. Starmer noted that the ceasefire would allow citizens to return to their homes, providing an opportunity for reconstruction on both sides of the border. He emphasized that the political situation in Lebanon should evolve into a long-term peace agreement following the cessation of hostilities.
