London: British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has welcomed the ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah, highlighting its potential to bring relief to civilian populations in Lebanon and northern Israel. In a statement, Starmer expressed hope that the ceasefire would lead to a lasting political solution in Lebanon, particularly following the devastating consequences of the conflict over the past few months. A Step Towards Reconstruction and Peace. Starmer noted that the ceasefire would allow citizens to return to their homes, providing an opportunity for reconstruction on both sides of the border.
