62-Year-Old Man’s Diet for Youthful Skin Goes Viral

Seoul: A viral Instagram video by content creator Hannah, posted on May 5, has caught global attention as it reveals the diet secrets behind her 62-year-old father's remarkably youthful skin and hair.

The Korean woman explains that her father's diet became stricter after he was diagnosed with cancer about two years ago. In the video, she shows his disciplined daily routine, starting with black coffee and a cabbage-carrot salad topped with bananas.

He avoids dairy, sugar, and red meat, prefers soy milk matcha lattes without syrup, brown rice over white, and prefers chicken and seafood over beef. He also abstains from alcohol but has a soft spot for noodles.

During a visit to a local mart, he buys roasted black beans—his favorite snack—which Hannah jokingly credits for his full head of jet-black hair.

Expert Deepika Sharma, a personal trainer and functional nutritionist, told indianexpress.com that minimizing sugar and dairy can slow visible aging. Sugar increases inflammation and damages collagen, leading to sagging skin, while dairy may trigger acne and oil production.

In contrast, soy milk offers plant-based estrogen that boosts collagen. Sharma notes that bananas are rich in biotin and dopamine precursors, supporting skin and hormonal health, while black beans provide zinc, iron, and antioxidants vital for melanin and keratin.

She adds that this combination of unusual but nutrient-dense foods supports microcirculation and reduces oxidative stress, helping maintain firm, glowing skin and strong hair. Hannah's father's post-cancer diet is not just healthy—it's become a cellular-level strategy for aging gracefully, proving that food choices can influence appearance and well-being over time.
