Riyadh: Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman held a phone call on Saturday with Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian to express condolences and solidarity following the recent Israeli attacks on Iran.
During the call, the Crown Prince conveyed his sympathies to President Pezeshkian, the Iranian people, and the families of the victims, and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.
He reaffirmed the Kingdom’s condemnation of the Israeli strikes, calling them a violation of Iranian sovereignty and a breach of international laws and norms. The Crown Prince also warned that the escalation undermines diplomatic efforts and obstructs ongoing talks aimed at de-escalation.
Prince Mohammed emphasized Saudi Arabia’s firm stance against the use of force to resolve conflicts, reiterating that dialogue remains the only viable solution for addressing disputes.
President Pezeshkian thanked the Crown Prince for his supportive remarks and commended the Kingdom’s rejection of aggression. He also expressed gratitude to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz for the services provided to Iranian pilgrims during their stay in Saudi Arabia and for ensuring their safe return home.
