RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s international airports have advised travelers heading to destinations affected by recent airspace closures to confirm their flight status with respective airlines before arriving at the airport, in a bid to avoid delays and disruptions.
The advisory follows Israeli military strikes on Iran, which have led several countries to shut down parts of their airspace, affecting international flight routes.
Airports in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam emphasized the importance of checking with airlines, especially for passengers traveling to or transiting through regions impacted by the escalating conflict.
The measure aims to ensure smooth travel operations and reduce inconvenience to passengers amid rapidly changing air traffic conditions.
Earlier, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the Israeli attacks on Iranian territory, describing them as a clear violation of sovereignty and international law. The Kingdom called on the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to act swiftly to stop the aggression and prevent further escalation.
