By mid-2025, Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS) will introduce a facial recognition system to quickly identify patients, even if they are unconscious or without an ID.
How It Works
Paramedics will scan a patient's face, and the system will pull up medical records from secure databases like the Emirates ID system. This allows hospitals to prepare treatment in advance, improving emergency care.
Marwan Ali Anbar, DCAS’s Chief AI Officer, explained:
“It’s hard to identify unconscious patients without an ID. This app will make it instant and accurate.”
