GCC Ministers Call for Immediate Ceasefire in Gaza

KUWAIT: In a strong show of solidarity, the 162nd GCC Preparatory Ministerial Meeting called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and reiterated the need for a fair and lasting resolution to the Palestinian issue. The meeting, chaired by Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya, brought together senior officials, including Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan.

The ministers condemned the escalating humanitarian crisis in Gaza and emphasized the urgency of international cooperation to restore peace and stability in the region. Discussions also focused on Lebanon's volatile situation, underscoring the need for diplomatic solutions to prevent further destabilization. Saudi officials, including Ambassador Prince Sultan bin Saad bin Khalid, played an active role in the discussions, highlighting the Kingdom’s proactive approach to regional peace efforts.
