Kuwait City: The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) concluded its 45th summit in Kuwait with a strong condemnation of Israel’s ongoing violations of international law and human rights in Gaza. The summit called for an immediate end to the violence, particularly the targeting of civilians and collective punishment in the besieged territory. The joint communiqué, read by GCC Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, also criticized Israel’s continued airstrikes in Lebanon despite a declared ceasefire. The leaders welcomed the truce but emphasized the need for lasting peace and urged Lebanese factions to prioritize national interests.
